Happy Spring Equinox!
In addition to a rare Full Moon that is at its closest proximity to the Earth in its 18 year cycle, the Sun is now in Aries – the sign that symbolically refers to Spring Equinox. Woven into this is the basis of Western Astrology. Beyond the fact that the Sun is now in Aries, it is also, of this day, exactly conjunct Uranus which is also positioned at zero degrees Aries. I have mentioned before how 0 Aries is a very special point in Astrology. Symbolically it is refers to the point where alpha and omega meet; the point where a drawn circle begins and ends; it is the moment when the light of the sun breaks over the horizon at the crack of dawn, the ignition point of all new things, and the list goes on. Of course, cycles are circles and time invariably flows in cycles. Overlooking this fact is akin to believing the earth is flat. The cyclic nature of time is itself testimony to Mandalas which are circles representing cycles with equal divisions corresponding to key turning points and significant themes. This is one of the basis features of how and why Astrology works.
I and other Astrologers have been preparing people for many months for the advent of change that will begin with the stimulus of Jupiter and Uranus in Aries. Sure enough, just as Jupiter entered Aries in January, passions ignited in Egypt . These continue as other countries in the Middle East also push for democracy. Then the very day Uranus entered Aries (March 11), the massive earthquake in Japan occurred. Pretty synchronistic I would say. From the standpoint of how Astrology works, it is not so much a case of the planets in their respective positions ‘causing’ these events. Astrology actually illustrates or mirrors events.

Thank you for your attention and now back to some insights and updates.
The really big news now, in addition to Spring Equinox Sun exactly conjunct Uranus coinciding with the closest approach or a Full Moon, is Jupiter Opposite Saturn on March 28th. Then Neptune enters Pisces (2011-2024) on April 4, just one day after the Aries New Moon. Powerful seeds of destiny are being sown here folks! In mid February the Lunar North Nodes changed signs from Capricorn and Cancer to Sagittarius and Gemini – and since the whole world is talking and a buzz with excited and perilous news. We also are still under the January 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse, the way. Cycles converge and sometimes there are many and potent cyclic points that meet, like now. Now Jupiter is opposing Saturn (exact March 28). It is quite safe to say that this aspect is a shaker. On all fronts we will feel this great tug of war, a veritable Clash of the Titans. After all, the mythological battle was primarily between Jupiter, and his Father Saturn. Each of these gas giants positioned on either side of the earth, in compliance with the Sun and Moon, exerts a big pressure here on our planet. (Read excerpt article on the bottom of the newsletter.) This does occur every 20 years and each time is unique unto itself. Yet, in this time of truly unsettling earth movements and crazy magnetic field waves and on the eve of 2012… well this time is indeed unique. Yes, the alignment with the Galactic center has been somewhat pushed to the back of many minds. It is the central focus of the Mayan Calendar and in close proximity to the second occultation of Venus over the Sun in early summer 2012. Yes, it is all of these rare and powerful events which is said to occur only once every 26,000 years – a Precessional Cycle. So, whichever system of Astrology you observe, this is a rare and climactic point for human civilization and all the species of our planet, let alone for all of us here now.
Jupiter and Uranus share a symbolic theme and it is freedom. Jupiter especially is concerned with ethics, principles and truth. Uranus is the revolutionary engine of change and innovation. Together in the sign of Aries, the sign of pioneering initiative, we see a standoff for democracy with fatal results. With Pluto in Capricorn (2008-2023) as one of the principle backdrops of our times this march will probably not end very soon. Pluto here suggests that the entire structure of power, large and small will be purified and transformed. As Astrologer Jeff Green in his book Pluto: the Evolutionary Journey of the Soul would say, 'all governing institutions are ‘under the evolutionary impulse’. Pluto is symbolic of evolution and of soul and of the evolution of the soul, according to Jeff. Yes, Astrology illustrates that evolution is not merely a species process, as science appears to conclude. This Aries force is the ignition phase for more than one level of change. Social, economic and most likely measurable geological change will occur in a big way and over a relatively short span of years, 2 initially, but 5 especially and 13 as the two far planets, Pluto and Neptune cooperate to elevate the consciousness of our entire planet and especially of the human species. Yes, an entirely new paradigm is being born, and it is called Holistic. It will not be against science, it will embrace it. Yet it will do away with limiting materialistic views of science and commerce and the very structures and values of society as we know will change. Non material realities will become more obvious, our psychic sensitivities will rise and excessive intellectuality will decline. Yet, there stand to be many battles yet before the old guard yields. This is where things could get the most interesting, societally speaking. The time has come to graduate to the next higher level. Some will call it a re-birth, others an ascension. Whatever else is happening, most people in the world are really together and this sentiment will rise. Nature will do her part to both cleanse our planets and activate our hearts with compassion and a deepened state of unity. Neptune in Pisces will synchronize with this.
So, we are experiencing and witnessing synchronistic events corresponding to the planetary alignments. How many synchronicities does it take before we stop stuffing things into the overflowing sack of randomness and coincidence? This delusion of random thinking which assumes that all of life is simply some form of chance is sad really. So determined to polarize itself from religion is the bulk of ‘mainstream of science’ that it presents an equally imbalanced set of theories, when compared with narrow religious beliefs, as its own set of ‘sacred truths’ – dogmas in another guise. No one wants to stamp out science, not entirely; yet science as a social force seems bent on stamping out others. Do you think there are people and ambitious private sector types who might capitalize on the delusion and confusion of purely materialistic thinking that mainstream science promotes? A long line of people programmed under the current scientific paradigm poke skeptical attacks on Astrology and other metaphysical sciences on the notion that various practitioners are taking innocent people’s money. Meanwhile, one fighter jet probably costs more than all the money given to people consulting metaphysical tools to help others, and they do, in any given year put together the world over. Of course, the main reason people turn to alternative approaches of all kinds is because both science and religion fails to meet their needs.
Free will is ever an operative force and is an X factor in life whereby we recognize that what works for one, may not for another. Different strokes for different folks. This is an idealof democracy. While we are each the same on certain grounds, we are quite different on others. A truly democratic world allows others the freedom to express, experience, revere, worship, celebrate, work and play… according to their own inclinations and intuitions, timing and cycles. Of course, in the economic sphere there is competition and smear campaigns in the guise of unbiased sincerity are subtle yet common fare. The notion of a 13th sign of the Zodiac casting doubt into the collective mind may well be one of these, as is the ongoing conviction by some scientists that the Moon and planets in our solar system have no effect on us at all. This is the voice of mainstream science while a large number of less mainstream scientists disagree. Verdict: there are few absolute agreements in science even though some present their views as unanimously and conclusively shared. Scientists who challenge the official tune run the risk of jeopardizing their careers, while those who support it advance.
Thus we often witness instances where science presents a dogmatic position, and just like any other human institution, it too is succeptible to corruption. Unless it is willing to admit its own bias, it will become very corrupt. At worst, the core convictions of science do not believe in anything metaphysical or supernatural at all; only that everything that is natural comes from absolutely nothing. Yes, the universe in all its design and the existence of any form of brain or intelligence is self-created. How powerful of this "nothing" to do so. One might even deem it an omnipotent power! Does this sound familiar? It sounds spiritual to me. Yet, it is a force much more than it is great big person and i would venture that it is not simply male nor female but both and much much more. At the bottom of this newsletter I have pasted an email sent to me recently which at least presents an example of ongoing debates in the scientific community. Even Astrology is a science, yet it is a holistic science and because the paradigm to which it defers is holistic and spiritual verses machanistic and material, it has been deemed unfounded. Yet it does work and could easily defy statistical analysis iof the statistic appraoch operated on a more person to person basis.
Astrology at best contributes to self-awareness as well as to probable timing of themes, events and cyclic turns. Astrology like many other systems is used to predict as well, but this is not its ability. yes, it can help us to prepare for the probable and to achieve the possible. Just like all other prediction tools, it is not absolute, as is little else in duality; yet it does work. How we make use of the information it offers is another consideration. Among its best uses above and beyond attempting to predict the future – the desire of many, Astrology is a tool for self-awareness and it can and does offer what many would deem a surprisingly deep source of Affirmation, Inspiration, Vision and Strategy.
Since Jupiter is still in Aries until June and Uranus will be through to 2019, we will have plenty of opportunity to illustrate the synchronicity of events here on earth. Even with planetary alignments over the next few months much is set to occur. Yet, th really big turn will come when Uranus forms a Square aspect with Pluto in early summer of 2012. Of course, there will be many other key events prior to that so stay tuned.
On a final more personal note, how the planetary alignments play out in our own lives is one of the things we do have a say about. Good Astrology helps us to tune-in and can inspire us to break free from restrictive patterns. It can foster a vision of approach and or it can simple offer some useful guidelines about upcoming cycles, opportunities and challenges that with awareness we can approach consciously and thereby make the most of them and experience the least amount of stress from them. A new report released today in the Kremlin prepared for Prime Minister Putin by the Institute of Physics of the Earth, in Moscow, is warning that the America’s are in danger of suffering a mega-quake of catastrophic proportions during the next fortnight (14 days) with a specific emphasis being placed on the United States, Mexico, Central America and South American west coast regions along with the New Madrid Fault Zone region.
This report further warns that catastrophic earthquakes in Asia and the sub-continent are, also, “more than likely to occur” with the 7.3 magnitude quake in Japan today being “one of at least 4 of this intensity” to occur during this same time period.
Raising the concerns of a mega-quake occurring, this report says, are the increasing subtle electromagnetic signals that are being detected in the Earth’s upper atmosphere over many regions of the World, with the most intense being over the US Western coastal and Midwest regions.
Important to note are that Russian and British scientists are at the forefront of predicting earthquakes based on these subtle electromagnetic signals and have joined in an effort to put satellites in space to detect more of them.
More ominously in this report are Russian scientists confirming the independent analysis of New Zealand mathematician and long-range weather forecaster, Ken Ring, who predicted the deadly Christchurch quake and this week issued another warning of a quake to hit on or about March 20th.

“The planets very much affect the earth, indirectly, by having an effect on the Sun. Some planets are very large. If the Sun was a basketball the gas giants Jupiter and Saturn would be the size of grapefruits, and the Earth would be, on that scale, the size of a peppercorn.
Jupiter and Saturn cause extra tides on the Sun when they get on either side of the Sun (as with Moon – Earth-Sun when the moon is full) and when these gas giants get on the same side as the Sun, (as with Earth -Moon – Sun when the moon is new). These greater solar tides become sunspot activity and solar flares and can be understood as akin to the increase in tides caused by the Moon when it too gets alongside Earth or opposite Earth.
At the moment we have Jupiter and Saturn on either side of the Sun and creating a tug of war with Earth in the middle. That started last September and will continue until about May. In September the Earth was right in line with Jupiter, Saturn and the Sun too.
That’s why there were several 7+ earthquakes around, it wasn’t just us. For instance there was one in Pakistan on the same day as Christchurch . This Jupiter/Saturn alignment continues until about May, and the Earth comes back into line as well in March. It is why there may be an extreme event, perhaps a large earthquake, around 20 March, which is when the Moon may be again in a trigger position.”
According to this report, however, where Ring is correct in assessing blame for our Earth’s earthquakes on the Sun and Planets, his substituting of Perigean Spring Tides (also known as King Tides) for the low pressure systems associated with them may be incorrect.
The mention in this report of massive low pressure systems being associated with catastrophic earthquakes is especially dire to the United States Midwestern region, which even today is continuing to be pounded by horrific rainfall amounts, and most especially impacting the New Madrid Fault Zone State of Arkansas which has suffered over 800 earthquakes in the past 6 months alone.
Equally in danger, this report continues, is the South American Nation of Bolivia which has, likewise, suffered catastrophic low pressure system storms that in the past week have killed over 52 people.
Most ominous in this report, though, is its warning that the fault-riddled State of California may be about to suffer its most catastrophic earthquake in decades as new reports for this region show the mass death of millions of fish [photo bottom left] is now occurring, and just like the mass stranding of whales on New Zealand beaches days prior to the February 22nd destruction of Christchurch.
Making the situation for our Planet even grimmer are the reports that our Sun is continuing to spew forth massive solar flares, the latest warned to hit our Earth today or tomorrow thus prompting the Hermanus Space Weather Warning Centre (SWWC) to issue a Solar Flare warning for the Southern Hemisphere.
Interesting to note in all of these events is the United States Army announcing this week that it is holding a rare training event involving the US Military, the CIA, Canadian officers, US Treasury and State departments, the US Agency for International Development, the Defense Threat Readiness Agency and the International Red Cross between March 21-25 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and which should the worst happen they will certainly be prepared for it.
